This 5-day private Georgia package is ideal for travelers who want to experience the country’s capital, mountains, wine region, ancient cave towns, fortresses, monasteries, and historical monuments in one comfortable trip.

The itinerary is designed to give guests a balanced experience of Georgia: the cultural charm of Tbilisi, the dramatic cave monastery of Vardzia, the scenic Caucasus Mountains, the wine traditions of Kakheti, and the ancient heritage of Mtskheta and Uplistsikhe.

This package is suitable for couples, solo travelers, families, and small private groups who want a private and flexible travel experience.

The package includes private transportation with an English-speaking or Russian-speaking driver. Please note that drivers are not guides. A professional licensed guide can be arranged for an additional fee upon request.

Airport pickup and drop-off are included. All tours start from the hotel and return to the hotel, except when airport drop-off is planned after the tour.

Hotel accommodation, entrance fees, meals, wine tastings, local 4x4 vehicles, and optional activities are not included unless agreed in advance. Hotel options can be offered upon request.

Day 1 – Arrival in Tbilisi & Private Tbilisi City Tour

Upon arrival at Tbilisi International Airport, our driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Tbilisi. After check-in and some time to rest, you will start a private Tbilisi city tour.

Tbilisi is a city where ancient history, colorful streets, traditional architecture, modern bridges, churches, and lively local areas come together. This day is a great introduction to Georgia’s capital and gives guests the chance to enjoy the most important highlights of the city.

Main places to visit:

Holy Trinity Cathedral
One of the largest Orthodox cathedrals in the world and one of the most important religious landmarks in Georgia.

Metekhi Church
A historical church located on a cliff above the Mtkvari River, offering beautiful views of Old Tbilisi.

Rike Park
A modern park near the river, popular for walking, photos, and views of the old city.

Peace Bridge
A modern glass bridge connecting Old Tbilisi with Rike Park. It is one of the most recognizable symbols of modern Tbilisi.

Narikala Fortress Area
One of the best viewpoints in Tbilisi, offering panoramic views over the old town, the river, and the surrounding hills.

Abanotubani Sulfur Bath District
One of the oldest and most atmospheric districts of Tbilisi, famous for its natural sulfur baths and brick bathhouse domes.

Meidan Bazaar
A colorful area where guests can find souvenirs, local products, Georgian wine, handmade items, and traditional gifts.

Old Tbilisi Streets
Walk through narrow streets with wooden balconies, colorful houses, cafés, wine bars, and historical buildings.

Rustaveli Avenue
The main avenue of Tbilisi, home to theaters, museums, cultural buildings, shops, and important city landmarks.

After the tour, return to your hotel.

Day 2 – Uplistsikhe, Mtskheta & Jvari Historical Tour

After breakfast, your driver will pick you up from your hotel for a private historical day tour outside Tbilisi.

This day is focused on Georgia’s ancient history, religious heritage, and unique cave architecture. It is a comfortable route and a great way to explore important historical sites before the longer Vardzia day.

Main places to visit:

Jvari Monastery
A beautiful monastery located on a hill above Mtskheta. From here, guests can enjoy panoramic views of the meeting point of two rivers and the old capital area.

Mtskheta
One of the oldest cities in Georgia and the former capital of the country. Mtskheta is an important cultural and religious center.

Svetitskhoveli Cathedral
One of the most important cathedrals in Georgia and a major spiritual landmark located in the heart of Mtskheta.

Uplistsikhe Cave Town
An ancient rock-hewn town with caves, tunnels, halls, and historical structures carved into the stone. It is one of the most interesting archaeological sites in Georgia.

During the tour, there will be time for lunch at a local restaurant. Lunch is not included in the price.

Return to Tbilisi in the evening.
Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 3 – Vardzia Full-Day Historical Tour

After breakfast, your driver will pick you up from your hotel for a full-day private tour to Vardzia.

This is one of the most impressive historical routes in Georgia. The day includes fortresses, mountain landscapes, historical monuments, and one of Georgia’s most famous cave monastery complexes.

Please note: this is a long full-day route, so an early departure is recommended.

Main places to visit:

Borjomi Area
A famous resort area known for nature, forests, mountain scenery, and mineral water. Depending on timing, a short stop can be arranged.

Rabati Fortress
A large historical fortress complex in Akhaltsikhe, combining different architectural styles and cultural influences. It is one of the most interesting restored fortress complexes in Georgia.

Vardzia Cave Monastery
One of the most impressive monuments in Georgia. Vardzia is a large cave monastery complex carved into the mountain, famous for its history, scale, and dramatic location.

During the tour, there will be time for lunch at a local restaurant. Lunch is not included in the price.

Return to Tbilisi in the evening.

Day 4 – Kazbegi Full-Day Tour

After breakfast, your driver will pick you up from your hotel for a private full-day tour to Kazbegi through the Georgian Military Road.

This route is one of the most scenic roads in Georgia and offers a beautiful combination of mountains, rivers, fortresses, viewpoints, and traditional landscapes. The day is perfect for travelers who want to experience the Greater Caucasus Mountains and see one of Georgia’s most iconic locations.

Main places to visit:

Zhinvali Reservoir
A beautiful turquoise water reservoir surrounded by mountains. This is one of the most popular photo stops on the way to Kazbegi.

Ananuri Fortress
A historical fortress complex located near Zhinvali Reservoir. It is connected with Georgia’s medieval history and offers impressive views of the lake and surrounding mountains.

Pasanauri Area
A famous area on the Georgian Military Road, known for mountain landscapes and the place where the Black and White Aragvi rivers meet.

Gudauri Friendship Monument
A panoramic viewpoint near Gudauri ski resort with wide views of the Caucasus Mountains and deep valleys. It is one of the most impressive stops on the route.

Stepantsminda / Kazbegi
A mountain town located near the border with Russia, surrounded by high peaks and alpine scenery.

Gergeti Trinity Church
One of the most famous landmarks in Georgia, located high above Stepantsminda with a dramatic mountain background.

Day 5 – Kakheti Wine Region & Departure

After breakfast, your driver will pick you up from your hotel for a private day tour to Kakheti, Georgia’s most famous wine region.

Kakheti is known for its vineyards, traditional villages, monasteries, mountain views, family wineries, and warm hospitality. This day is a beautiful final experience before departure, combining wine culture, local traditions, and charming landscapes.

Main places to visit:

Traditional Georgian Bread Bakery
Visit a local bakery and see how Georgian bread is baked in a traditional clay oven called “tone.” You may also have the chance to taste warm, freshly baked bread.

Local Wine Tasting Option
Kakheti is the heart of Georgian winemaking. A wine tasting can be arranged at a local family winery or wine cellar upon request. Wine tasting fees are not included unless agreed in advance.

Bodbe Monastery
A peaceful monastery near Sighnaghi, surrounded by gardens and beautiful views. It is one of the most important religious sites in Kakheti.

Sighnaghi
A charming hilltop town known as the “City of Love.” Sighnaghi is famous for cobblestone streets, colorful houses, old city walls, cozy cafés, and beautiful views over the Alazani Valley.

Alazani Valley Views
Enjoy panoramic views of vineyards, villages, and the Caucasus Mountains in the background.

During the tour, there will be time for lunch at a local restaurant. Lunch is not included in the price.

After the tour, transfer to Tbilisi International Airport for departure. If your flight is later, transfer back to your hotel can be arranged instead.
